I believe communication is built through relationships, play, and the little moments that make up everyday life. That's why I'll meet your child wherever they are at (often literally on the floor), playing and laughing together as we build new speech and language skills.
As your child’s most important teacher, you’ll be included every step of the way. My goal is to help you understand the “why” behind every activity and equip you with strategies you can easily use throughout your daily routines.

Hi, I'm Tara! I am the founder of Words of Hope and a pediatric speech therapist based in Wentzville, MO. As a mom myself, I know firsthand the questions and unknowns that come with raising young children, and that's why I have created a space for parents to feel heard, understood, and never alone.
My approach combines professional expertise with real-life understanding. I use evidence-based strategies while keeping therapy practical, relatable, and judgment-free. I love building genuine relationships with families, getting to know what everyday life looks like for you, and finding ways to make a meaningful difference for both you and your child. Whether we’re celebrating a new word or working through a challenge together, I want you to feel like you have someone in your corner.

With a background collaborating with other professionals, I know that it takes a team to raise a confident, expressive, and happy child. Trainings are designed to provide preschool and daycare staff with practical strategies they can use every day to support language development, play skills, and positive behavior. I also offer parent seminars that help families understand their child's developmental journey and how to encourage communication at home.
